Very close. It's in the Upper Arroyo Seco, below Switzer Falls but above the mouth of Bear Canyon. And yes, you can lay down in the creek and go headfirst off that waterfall...
It got hot this week, so today I hiked to my favorite swimming hole in the San Gabriels. The swim felt great, and I even had the place to myself.
